Dr. Lisa Wright is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a specialty in Health Psychology and Behavioral Sleep Medicine. She received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at U.C. San Diego and the VA San Diego Healthcare System. She has received advanced training in CBT-I and Behavioral Sleep Medicine through her work at the VA and with the Stanford Sleep Health and Insomnia Program and University of Pennsylvania Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including within the UCSD Chronic Pain program, the UCSD Bariatric and Metabolic Institute, and for 8 years leading the Integrated Primary Care program at the Northern California VA. She has a specialty in treating chronic insomnia and other sleep disorders, weight management, stress and anxiety, and helping patients manage chronic pain, GI conditions, and other chronic health issues. She has published numerous articles with the focus on stress and illness. Dr. Wright is currently a Behavioral Medicine Specialist at Kaiser Permanente within the Adult & Family Medicine department and has a private practice in Orinda.
