We are rapidly growing in a different areas and, as result need to hire a number of psychologists (some licensed and some limited permit) into our School Health Program, University Behavioral Associates Programs, and to Direct our Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program. See below for descriptions of the different opportunities, as well as the specific qualifications wanted and contact person for each of them. These are all very exciting positions and I would be happy to answer any questions about Montefiore, should they arise!
1. Psychologist (Full Time) at University Behavioral Associates
University Behavioral Associates (UBA) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking a Limited Permit Psychologist or Licensed Psychologist to serve as a clinician for a Regional Partnership Grant funded by the Children’s Bureau.
The Psychologist will be responsible for working closely with clients enrolled in a treatment study to address substance use risks for mothers-to-be and new mothers, including delivering multiple evidence based interventions to study participants. The psychologist will also coordinate with various departments within the hospital as well as organizations outside of the hospital, will provide support and oversight of recruitment and study administration, and will participate in training, supervision, and consultation activities. Some evening and/or weekend availability may be required. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience with evidence based interventions, interfacing with multiple systems, evaluating mental health and/or substance use concerns, and will have excellent organizational ability. Spanish-speaking a plus.

2. Licensed Psychologists (multiple positions) at School Health Program
As the academic medical center and University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center is nationally recognized for clinical excellence. The Montefiore Medical Group – School Health Program provides high- quality medical, mental health, dental, and community health services at 25 school-based health centers in the Bronx.
Our program is currently in a rapid growth mode as it seeks to serve additional NYC Public schools (K-12) and their student populations in the Bronx. To meet this need, we are interviewing licensed psychologists (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) to be part of comprehensive health care teams composed of medical, mental health, dental, and community health providers working together to ensure the seamless delivery of integrated, quality care to students in need.
Psychology candidates should be adept at working in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork to enable patient care. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as a desire to work in a mission-driven environment to make a strong positive community impact.
Specific responsibilities include mental health consultation, clinical intakes, individual and group therapy, collateral work, and school/parent presentations.
Candidates must have a full N.Y.S. license and a minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy to children and/or adolescents, as well as demonstrated experience using evidence-based treatment models. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
Positions are full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm, with excellent benefits and summers off (July and August). Competitive salary and benefits package.

3. Psychologist (Full Time): Director, Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program at Sleep-Wake Disorders Center
Montefiore Medical Center (Bronx, NY) is seeking a licensed full-time psychologist to direct its Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) Program, located within the Sleep-Wake Disorders Center on Montefiore’s main campus.
4. Psychologist (Full Time) Supervisor at University Behavioral Associates
University Behavioral Associates (UBA) of Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking a Supervisor (Ph.D. or Masters-level) for preventive child welfare programs funded by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS).
The Supervisor must be Ph.D. (licensed or limited permit psychologist) or Masters-level (LCSW). The Supervisor will be responsible for conducting supervision to promote client engagement and positive outcomes, providing direct clinical training to staff, ensuring all documentation is consistent with ACS requirements, participating in training, supervision, and consultation activities, and providing periodic on-call 24-hour coverage. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience with families, substance use and/or mental health concerns, and with providing behaviorally-based treatments. The preferred candidate will have excellent management skills and strong organizational ability. Spanish-speaking a plus.
