Featured Trainee - COURTNEY BOLSTAD
Courtney Bolstad is a third-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Mississippi State University (MSU) working under the direction of Dr. Michael Nadorff. Courtney received her bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University, where she became interested in sleep research working with Dr. Leah Irish. Working as a student clinician, Courtney provides treatment to clients with sleep concerns at MSU’s BSM Clinic. As an animal-lover, Courtney conducts research on the psychological consequences of owning a pet in addition to her research on sleep behaviors and older adults, both with and without consideration of pet ownership. Long-term, Courtney plans to become a direct service provider while maintaining her interests in research and teaching. In her free time, Courtney enjoys sleeping, practicing yoga, cooking, spending time with her foster dogs, and horseback riding both competitively and for leisure.
